On Sunday, 10th January, 2021, members of the Catholic Organisation for Social and Religious Advancement (COSRA) of the Sacred Heart Parish – Penkwase, in the Sunyani diocese, made a special donation to one hundred and ten Widows and Widowers of the Parish.

Poultry birds worth GHS 5,200.00 from individual member’s contribution was presented after a joint Mass celebration with the Widows and Widowers. The main celebrant for the Mass, Rev. Fr. Adusei Opoku Atobrah, a Franciscan Friar from Winniba thanked the society for the good works of charity and encourage others to do same. He was very pleased that, this activity of special donations to Widows and the needy has been a great policy of Sacred Heart COSRA for more than ten (10) years. He asked the beneficiaries to pray for the organisation and the individuals in it to do more.

Mr. Williams Kojo Appiah, the President of Sacred Heart COSRA was assisted by Mr. Emmanuel Kwaku Nimo, the Diocesan Organizer of COSRA in sharing the items to the Widows. The president added that, the group could have done more but the covid 19 affected their plans and that is why only chicken is given. The program ended peacefully with the windows and widowers showing appreciation to the society.
