EXODUS

As part of the preparation for the most anticipated National sports and cultural festival, the executives met the Rev. Fr. Thomas Oppong Febri, the Vicar General of Sunyani Diocese. The National executives met him to deliberate on imperative issues towards the General Council meeting. Issues were basically on the suitability assessment of the venue as reported by the CPC and LOC. The presence of the Vicar General was enough to seal the beautiful environment at the venue and the warm welcome they are ready to demonstrate when members arrive in Sunyani.

In the introduction of the Vica General, he mentioned the concern of the Bishop which had to do with the movement of members from the Church. To him the rate at which parishioners are if action is not taken, the church will be left with 3% of the population by the year 2050. He admitted that some leave for baseless reasons but most leave out of “anger”.  Anger caused by Priests, church leaders, laity faithful and You, in addition to other causes that may not be known.

He therefore tasked COSRA, a group he believes so much in, to take the task of identifying the prodigals and bring them Home. According to him, COSRA is in a position to talk to both the young and old. He blessed the group during Mass and trusted that the Church will not be disappointed.
