The national president of COSRA Ms. Mavis A.A. Ekpe has reminded members of the Catholic Organisation for Social and Religious Advancement(COSRA) to approach their challenges scientifically. This during the inauguration of the 218th branch of the organization. She was explaining why COSRA is confident that her patience will surely be rewarded. According to the president, after assessing the Youth policy by the Bishops conference, the group realized that majority of the members fall beyond the 30years limitation. The group decided to approach it scientifically by commissioning a survey which resulted in over 98% of its members above the 30year benchmark. The survey which was completed in 2018, also discovered that the remaining 2% were over 28years of age. According to her, it means that as we speak, no member of COSRA who took part in the survey is a Youth per the policy. This was the reason COSRA wrote to the church to release her for onward migration to the laity council.
She went on to ask members to be very patient with COSRA National Secretariat as they wait on the church leadership to respond to our humble request. “While we wait, members are to continue the good conduct and the relentless support for their various parishes and the country at large”.
