The Pope took advantage of the revelations from covid-19 in his recent book Fratelli Tutti. The covid revealed to humanity how the importance of every person. Where the security man at the gate of a health facility is needed to take the temperatures of Doctors and Nurses and where the ‘big man’ in the house involuntarily allows the househelp into his room for the first time to assist him to the hospital. The pandemic has confirmed that family and brotherhood is priceless and the power of money is relegated to the bottom of needs.

These lessons from the covid pandemic were thoroughly dealt with when Rev.Fr. Francis Nawo Boafo, took up the stage to lead a talk at the just ended leadership retreat of the National Council COSRA at the Pastoral Centre, Koforidua. The retreat was on the theme Fratelli Tutti and Covid-19: an opportunity for a renewal of love among members of COSRA. The speaker explained the meaning of Fratelli Tutti. He centred on the need to care for one another. He indicated that we are all equal in dignity no matter our race, age, status, among others and the world needs everyone’s discipline.

He also added that a call to fairness and respect for humanity at all levels repel all forms of crises and conflict. Nepotism at all levels, even in church, does not guarantee unity. As leaders of a great organisation like COSRA, it is not optional to promote fairness, show real love to all, and be more united. This attitude will attract lost ones to Christ and the church and promote a better wellbeing for our membership.
