On the 8th September,2023, Two COSRA members were among sixteen Catholics from the Tamale Ecclesiastical Province honoured with Papal Awards for their contributions to Mother Church during a Mass held at the Our Lady of Annunciation Cathedral in Tamale.
The Apostolic Nuncio to Ghana, Most Rev. Henryk Mieczysław Jagodziński, invested the awardees with their respective Papal Medals during the Mass which was presided over by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Tamale, Most Rev. Philip Naameh.
Five other Bishops, Most Revs. Matthew Gyamfi of Sunyani Diocese and President of the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference, Peter Paul Angkyier of Damongo, Alfred Agyenta of Navrongo- Bolgatanga, Dominic Yeboah Nyarko of Techiman and John Kobina Louis, an Auxiliary Bishop of Accra and many priests, concelebrated the Mass which was also to celebrate the 75th birthday of the Archbishop of Tamale.
Bro. Daniel Damka, a Past Executive of OLA Cathedral COSRA was honoured with the Knighthood of St. Gregory. Bro. Matthew Pipio Eib, a past Archdiocesan President of Tamale Archdiocese and a Member of the National Education and Expansion Committee received the Knighthood of St. Sylvester whiles Mrs. Matilda Zenabu Pipio Eib, the wife of Bro. Matthew was honoured with Dame of St. Sylvester.
In attendance were the National COSRA President, Dr. Stephen Nabareseh, the National Vice President, Sis. Tamara Amina Sulemana and many COSRAN Members of the Archdiocese of Tamale.
